Bottom-rankedKahu (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-59 loss to fourth ranked Hoiho (5-4) in on Sunday evening. S. Hoiho looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Rebecca Pizzey (190-1999) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) helped adding 11 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side Australian guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Haliegh Reinoehl (188-1998, college: Akron) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. S. Hoiho moved-up to third place, which they share with Mainland P. Loser Kahu still closes the standings with eight games lost.
